Pre-primary, Primary & Pre vocational
Special education is the training given to our children in order to equip them with special a special training and by which they can fulfill their daily activities independently. It aims at relieving them from their hearing, speech, sight deficiencies and other bodily ailments, which facilitate them to live happily in the society. Thus, the children are trained to read, to count numbers and to write the basic rudiments of mathematics, general knowledge etc. They are exposed to Yoga and other physical exercises. Consequently, the children realize the main stream of life.
Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy
Physiotherapy
It is the part of rehabilitative techniques. It targets to activate the weak muscles and strengthens the bones and removes pain. It also paves way for normal blood flow. It prevents the children from any unnecessary bodily ailments.
Occupational Therapy
It is a sociological method of treating the children. Through this therapy the children are trained in the values of punctuality, enthusiasm in taking up one’s daily task and co-operation with others in understanding the commands of works. It strengthens their mind and body. In other words Occupational Therapy helps the children to change their behaviors patterns. Through the assessment we fix the specific therapy for particular children. Before proceeding with the therapy to solve the problem we make a goal. There are two types of goals: Short term goalsLong term goalsIn this method we divide the children according to their category.Physical Condition, Cognitive Condition. In the therapy sessions we give a therapy taking into consideration their ability and IQ level. Rehabilitative Occupational Therapist are taught and help children to improve their skills andachieve maximum function in sensory, motor, self – help, Cognitive - perceptual and adaptive behaviour domains through their respective disciplinary modalities and activities.The Consumer of service is a “Patients” who is sick, injured, or was born with a disability. Therapy is provided to minimize skill and independence in whatever environment and who the patient encounters in ADL in Home, School and other Community environments. Vocational Therapy
The purpose of this therapy is to make our children aware of standing on their own legs even as handicapped and mentally challenged children. The activities such as candle making, phenol, soap oil, incense stick preparing and the screen printing make them feel that they contribute something to the society.
This also increases their concentration and their group involvement in doing things. Also we give this sort of vocational training: making greetings cards, maintaining garden and nursery, and some hand work of embroidering.
